[MRSSA News] Driver Certification

Hi Kristi,
We were thinking about holding one in addition, but only if there was interest in it.  We'll likely have at least 2-3 people certified on the triple and several others on our twin this year.  
Some of them may need time at the throttle before testing.  However, I'm still a little uncertain about this statement in the new rule regarding requirements for a Learner's Permit, "Must fill out the application with the tested driver’s signature and the club President’s signature and then sent to headquarters."  It looks like they need to be tested to have a learner's permit?  If so, that doesn't make sense since they need to practice for a chance at passing.

Anyway, we simply need to get a few people some time at the throttle before testing if it's possible.  If the water's high at our site in May they won't be able to practice.

We're not trying to steal the Ski Otter's thunder. :)  Just covering our tail if the new rule stands as is when the season rolls around.
