 Mr John Campbell,

I think that you will be very happy with a ski show as part of your event, I
think it is an excellent idea. The bay looks very beautiful and certainly
does whet the appetite!!! This looks like an exciting opportunity for both
the skiers and the spectators! If it is agreeable to you, I will send your
request to the teams in the National Ski Show Association. There are
several teams quite experieced in doing shows in events like yours. You can
then select which team you would like to work with. Please let me know if
this is something that will work for you.

Best regards,

Gerry Luiting

Hello Mr. Luiting,

I thank you for responding to my email.

I am prepared to be guided by your experiences regarding the best approach
to getting a team to perform at our event. Indeed, this will be our first
effort towards having Show Skiing as a part of the *Lucea Cross the Harbor
Swim and Regatta* and we are certainly excited about this prospect. Our
objective therefore is to have a small contingent of skiers doing a
demonstration sufficient enough to introduce the sport as a great attraction
and whet the appetites of the audience and potential sponsors. This will
augur well for the planning and implementation of future events!

In answering your questions:

   1. The event is slated for August 1 – 2. All water sports will be on
   August 2
   2. We are thinking of having two demonstrations on the day – August 2

I have attached a picture of the venue for your viewing. I do hope that this
will also whet the appetites of your skiers

I await your response and advice.

Best wishes,

John O.Campbell

 Dear Mr. John Campbell,

Hello! Thank you for inquiring with the National Ski Show Association
(NSSA) regarding a ski show for your event! I am very confident that there
are several NSSA teams that have the talent and experience to provide the
show that you need and want. What I normally do now, to be fair, is to send
out your email to the teams in the National Show Ski Association. The teams
would then contact you with their proposals and you can select the proposal
that is the best fit for you and the event. Please let me know if this
method is agreeable to you.

I also have a couple of quick questions for you:

1. Do you have a date(s) in mind?

2. Do you plan on having one show or several shows?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,

Gerry Luiting

President

National Show Ski Association

John,

I’m copying the President of NSSA, Gerry Luiting, with this message. He
would be the most appropriate person to speak with to line up a ski show for
your event.

Regards,

Dear Mr. Wolf,

*Re: Lucea Cross the Harbor Swim and Regatta*

For over forty years the small community of Lucea in Western Jamaica has
staged the above- named event during the summer month of August. This
community event has grown to be one of the most unique and exciting family
affairs in western Jamaica and has served as an attraction to both visitors
and locals alike. It features a one and a half mile swim competition, boat
races, canoe races, jet ski dexterity competitions, fishing tournaments, as
well as an enjoyable mix of cultural and entertainment offerings. The town
of Lucea is situated between *Montego Bay* and *Negril,* two of Jamaica’s
prime tourism destinations. A photograph of the Lucea harbour is attached
for your viewing!

In keeping with the new focus on the development of Sports Tourism in the
Caribbean, the organizers of this year’s *Lucea* *Cross the Harbor Swim and
Regatta *wish to* *enhance the quality and production of the event through
the introduction of new features and attractions.

We wish therefore to engage in discussions with the *NSSA* toward the
possibility for a small group of skiers to give a demonstration /
performance and showcase their exciting skills at the event in August 2010.
We are convinced that the inclusion of Show Skiing will add value to the
event and further strengthen our efforts to promote the event as a *Calendar
Event* in Jamaica.

I look forward to your prompt and positive response and wish you every
success throughout 2010.

Sincerely,

John O.Campbell
