[MRSSA News] River Rats Invite ALL to Raise Money for the Red Cross

I just also wanted to pose this to you all, we have gotten good responds but
there have been a few teams that have not been able to attend due to
nationals or prior comitments (their own thursday home shows). Some of these
teams have volunteered to do the same thing and turn over there donations as
a joint effort to the Red Cross. If anyone is interested let me know and we
will let them if you need anything from me. Thanks for all the help.

As many of you may have heard, Minneapolis suffered a huge, devastating blow
last night when the Interstate 35W Bridge collapsed into the Mississippi
River. Over thirty people are still missing and four are confirmed dead thus
far. The Mississippi River is the home to the Twin Cities River Rats, and we
are planning a benefit show to aid the Red Cross. All funds raised at the
August 9th show (Thursday night at 7:00 pm) will be donated to the Red Cross
to benefit the families that are suffering from this tragedy. 

WHAT YOU CAN DO: 
1. Send funds to Minneapolis Red Cross 
2. Ski with us for support at the August 9th show 
3. Come to our show and donate money to the Red Cross 
4. Pass this message along to everyone you know 

WHERE: Just north of Broadway on the River Road. Take I-94 to Broadway Ave.
exit. Go east on Broadway to West River Road (at Broadway Pizza, just before
the bridge). Go north (left) a few blocks to the site - at 22nd Av.N & West
River Road. 

WHEN: Thursday, August 9th at 7:00 PM (Junior show starts at 6:30 PM) 

WHY: To help the Twin Cities River Rats raise money for the Red Cross to aid
the families devastated by the collapse of the 35W bridge.
