The process for a C is the same as a A or B you have 3 years from 1 July
2005 to be tested in type for a triple

"After July 1, 2006, the operator of a boat with three or more engines must
be a tested driver.  After July 1, 2006, any drivers with a class A or B
rating who are driving with a Class C boat, must have a Class C learner's
permit, which will be good for two years."

Is there, or will there be, a different process to get a Class C learner's
permit?  Or do you simply have to be a certified driver and after the permit
period is up, pass the test in a triple to continue to drive one?
